Your My Library Account (Barcode and PIN credentials) are used to access research databases such as EBSCO, Gale and others while you are off-campus. It is needed to borrow books at the Self Check Machine, view fines, place holds on books and much more via the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
New Students
Join the Library
(Note: You must be fully registered with finance to activate your account.)
1. Log on to Aeorion
2. Click on 'Activate My Library' link under "My Info" on your dashboard
3. Click the 'Activate Library Account' button
4. Follow the steps on screen that follows to create your PIN (or reset your PIN if you have forgotten it).
Note: Your barcode can be found at the back of your USC ID Card. It is simply your Student ID# prefixed by 2999 for students (Total number of digits in barcode is 14. If your barcode is less, add 0's in-between the 2999 and your Student ID# until your barcode reaches 14 digits in length. Example barcodes: 29992015080100, 29990000015687)
Returning Students
If you have a My Library Account already but receive a "patron status blocked" message when attempting to remotely login to the library's research databases, please follow the same steps below to reactivate your account.
(Note: You must be fully registered with finance to re-activate your account.)
1. Log on to Aeorion
2. Click on 'Activate My Library' link under "My Info" on your dashboard
3. Click the 'Activate Library Account' button

You receive email notices when an item you have on loan is soon to be due or over-due.
Check availability and place holds
With your My Library Account you can login to the OPAC and place a hold on a checked out book to ensure that you get first preference to borrowing it when it's returned.
View/Update patron account details
You can you can login to the OPAC and update your own patron data such as email, address and phone number via your My Library Acccount
View fines
My Library Account allows you to login to the OPAC and view how much fines you owe for over-due items.
