The Library offers the following services to its patrons.
Forde Library provides all the ideal services you require to enhance your learning experience at USC. Whether you need to print your assignment, research a topic for a project, or just desire a quiet environemnt to relax with your favourite book, the Forde Library is here to cater to you.
My Library
Under the My Library umbrella we have a group of services geared towards patron empowerment. These services allow patrons to check their library record, renew material, place holds/requests, remotely access databases and more.
Instruction
Through arranged class sessions, students can develop the skills needed for quality research. These sessions cover critical thinking skills, breaking down of search queries all while accessing and evaluating scholarly research materials.
Orientation
These sessions introduce students to a wealth of information obtainable at the Library in various formats (books, journals, databases, e-books, multimedia and audio-visual resources etc). They also provide an element of hands-on experience.
Circulations
Patrons may borrow materials from our circulating collections for use outside the library and are encouraged to return those materials at the end of the loan period or at the request of the Library. See our Loans policy
Teaching and Consultation
The library offers many services and tools to aid faculty in incorporating library resources in their classrooms. Additionally, the library offers services to students to enhance their learning experience in the classroom. You can schedule training for any of our services.

The library provides an audio visual room where either faculty can host class sessions or students can reserve this room for quiet study.
Learn more »Printing and Photocopying
Our Printing service allows patrons to print from any computer in the Library at a cost of TT.30¢ per black and white page and TT$4.00 per coloured page. Patrons also have access to two photocopiers (same cost as per printing applies). You are asked to be mindful of the copyright restrictions when copying material from published sources.

Document scanning is also available at the library through its photocopiers. Documents can be scanned to a patron’s email, free of charge.
Training
Having problems searching the Databases, Reworks etc. , need attention guidance on the library and its Services Book an appointment.
Inter-Library Loan
Please complete all required fields and citation information. Book chapters will be delivered to you electronically via your USC email account, so it is essential to provide this contact information. Libraries may assess a charge for lending interlibrary loan items. You will be notified by email and asked to confirm your continuing need for the requested item. Once confirmation is received we will process your request immediately and charges will be placed on your account. Thank you!
